Backup and Sync

This feature helps protect your work. It helps Wmb Table keep your notes, subjects, and personal documents so you can find them again later.

The simple idea

Backup and sync are mainly there so you do not lose your personal work.

They are useful if:

  • you change computers
  • you install the app again
  • you use more than one device
  • you want your notes to stay safe

What can be kept

This mainly concerns:

  • notes
  • subjects
  • personal documents added inside the app
  • some useful settings

Where to open it

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click Backup

Show Google sign in, active or paused state, the sync switch, last activity, and any visible error message.

What sync means

The word sync simply means:

  • the application tries to keep your personal data up to date
  • it tries to find what you already saved
  • it helps you recover your work more easily later

You do not need to understand the internal system. For the user, the idea is simple:

I work today, and my work stays available later

First setup

To begin:

  1. click Google sign in
  2. sign in with the Google account you want to use
  3. accept the prompts shown to you
  4. return to the application

After that, backup can begin.

Which Google account to use

It is better to use one Google account for your Wmb Table work.

That helps avoid:

  • mixing your data
  • forgetting where your work is connected
  • signing in to several accounts

When sync is active

When sync is active, it means the application is trying to keep your personal data current.

For the user, that mainly means:

  • your notes are more likely to be available later
  • your subjects stay protected
  • your personal documents are better preserved

Active or paused

You can:

  • leave sync active
  • pause it if you do not want to use it for a while

If you already started writing notes, it is usually better to leave it active.

What may happen on a new computer

If you install Wmb Table on another computer and sign in with the same account:

  • the app may find your saved data
  • it may start restoring it
  • you may see progress on screen

This helps you continue your work more easily.

Restoring your data

During restore, you may see:

  • the beginning of recovery
  • a progress display
  • the end of recovery
  • sometimes a request to restart the app

Just let the application finish.

How to know things are okay

Usually things are fine if you can see:

  • your Google account shown
  • an Active state
  • no error message

If sync is paused

If sync is paused:

  1. open Backup
  2. check the switch
  3. turn it back on if you want your work protected

If an error appears

The most common causes are:

  • no internet connection
  • expired Google session
  • incomplete Google permission

In that case:

  1. check your internet connection
  2. return to Backup
  3. sign in again if needed
  4. wait a moment and check again

If you are unsure

If you are not sure whether your work is protected:

  1. open Backup
  2. check that your account is shown
  3. confirm that the state is not paused
  4. look at your notes and subjects to make sure they are present

What this does not replace

Even with backup and sync, keep good habits:

  • give clear names to your notes
  • organize references in subjects
  • export an important note to PDF if you want
  • check from time to time that backup is still active

Very simple summary

If you want to remember only the main point:

  1. connect your Google account
  2. leave sync active
  3. check from time to time that everything still looks normal
